DVD - Video Postcard - Overview of the Hawaiian Islands
90-minute journey throughout the fascinating Hawaiian Islands:
Oahu, Hawaii's Big Island, Maui, Molokai, Lanai and Kauai.
We visit places like the famous Polynesian Cultural Center,
Bishop Museum and 'Iolani Palace. We go to Pearl Harbor and
relive moments like the tragedy and heroic tales of
December 7th, 1941 at the USS Arizona Memorial. We also pay
our respects to our fallen soldiers at the National Memorial
Cemetery of the Pacific.
Kim Taylor Reece captures the Hula Kahiko with his amazing photos.
We visit many of the magnificent beaches and places throughout
the islands, from the well-know sands of Waikiki to the secluded
beaches few have ever seen to the ebony shores of the black sand
beaches on Hawaii's Big We take in the sun at Hanauma Bay to the
shores of Kaanapali. We go to the North Shore of Oahu to brave the
surf on the monster waves and learn the history of this famous sport.
We go snorkeling on Poipu Beach to scuba diving off Kona. There are
hundreds more and we found the best to share with you.
We turn up the heat a little and our Wild Side Host, Catherine Crevier
takes us on an inside track to some of the more adventurous and wild
things to do in the islands. From learning how to surf to going on a
white-water outrigger canoe ride. We go biking down Haleakala on Maui,
Skydiving on North Shore Oahu, to helicopter rides and boat excursions
along the Napali Coast. And of course we discover the nightlife in the
world-class clubs in Honolulu to the great bars in Lahaina. There's
definitely a wild and adventurous side of the Hawaiian Islands and
you will be there with us.
