Kamehameha unified the Hawaiian Islands. His
government maintained peace and traditional values
even under intense Western influence.
Kamehameha means "The Lonely One."

This poly resin statue is simulated in wood and lava.

The Hawaiian word HAPA means....HALF -
used here to describe the statue made
of half-wood and half-lava.
